If you’ve seen how Spy x Family has absolutely taken off lately, you’ll know Yor Forger is the real heart and soul of it all. By day, she’s that quiet, slightly klutzy clerk at the City Hall, but as soon as the sun goes down, she’s the “Thorn Princess” the Garden’s most lethal hitwoman, moving through the dark with a grace that’s as terrifying as it is stunning.

For collectors, though, she’s a proper challenge, way more so than Tifa or Aerith, simply because of that double life she leads. How on earth do you capture someone who’s a doting cook one minute and a cold-blooded killing machine the next? I’m Fang, and we’ve spent months properly obsessing at the onthedoll studio over how to turn that “assassin vibe” of hers into a physical, 80cm silicone masterpiece. It’s not just about making a doll that looks the part; it’s about making that weird mix of mum and assassin feel genuine to the touch.

The Story: The Woman Behind the Thorns

To understand the doll, you have to understand the woman. Yor Forger (née Briar) took up the mantle of an assassin at a young age to provide for her younger brother, Yuri. She didn’t choose the life of a killer out of malice, but out of a fierce, sacrificial love. This “deadly protector” energy is exactly what we wanted to bake into the sculpt.

In the lore, Yor is incredibly physically gifted, she can kick a speeding car off course and throw a golden needle through a reinforced door. Yet, she’s socially awkward and blushes at the slightest compliment from her fake husband, Loid. When we designed the face sculpt, we focused on that “blank” look in her eyes, the one she gets right before a hit, while offering interchangeable head models that capture her “embarrassed mother” expression.
